Reading and QPR will both look to bounce back from FA Cup defeats when returning to Championship action, with each side having been in good form in this competition before crashing out to Manchester United and Blackburn respectively.

The Royals will be seeking a fourth straight league win, while Rangers have picked up maximum points from their last two fixtures, with both having hit form in front of goal in recent matches.

A Look At Reading’s Betting Odds

Reading have powered up to third place in the table thanks to a run of nine wins in their last 11 Championship games, including a hat-trick of victories against Blackburn, Norwich and Bristol City prior to last weekend’s 4-0 cup loss at Old Trafford. With three goals scored in each of those wins, the Royals are certainly firing up front.

Jaap Stam’s side have also gone eight games without keeping a clean sheet, though, so it’s easy to make a case for taking 3/1 for a home win and both teams to score in what should be an entertaining encounter.

Veteran striker Yann Kermorgant bagged a late brace to clinch a 3-2 success at Bristol City after the home side had taken a 2-0 lead and Reading have netted in injury time in three straight league matches, so 19/10 for the Royals to score between 75:01 minutes and full-time also takes the eye.

A Look At QPR’s Betting Odds

QPR have eased away from the relegation zone after recovering from a terrible run of six straight league defeats with back-to-back 2-1 wins over Wolves away and Ipswich at home, with Idrissa Sylla and Pawal Wszolek netting on each occasion.

Ian Holloway made a number of changes for their FA Cup loss to Blackburn at Loftus Road, giving several fringe players the chance to shine, but was left to rue that decision, commenting: “We just kept playing backwards and sideways because we didn’t have the right blend. I didn’t like the performance. It was a whimper. That team didn’t show me anything like enough.”

Rangers will be keen to respond to that criticism and have generally been able to get on the scoresheet on the road this term, making 4/5 for both teams to score here look a solid proposition – as they have done in four of their last five meetings.
