“We were two goals up at half-time and we knew it was not easy. Benfica really wanted to go for it. Now they come to Anfield and we have to use that.”

His goal fired Benfica past Erik ten Hag’s Ajax in the last 16, with an impressive victory in Amsterdam underlining Benfica’s quality despite their underdog status.
