This Sunday’s 5/1 accumulator is dominated by Serie A’s big guns, with Juventus, AC Milan and Fiorentina all being relied upon to deliver the goods at home against lowly opposition.
Ajax and Bordeaux complete the line-up as they travel to Willem II and Nancy respectively looking to build on strong away records against struggling opposition.
New customers who sign up online qualify for a free £20 bet and using that to back Ajax, Bordeaux, Fiorentina, Juventus and Milan at odds of almost 5/1 will return £115.89 if successful.
Ajax to beat Willem II @ 11/50
Following an inconsistent start, Ajax have won five games in a row in the Dutch Eredivisie to pull them right back into the title chase, averaging 2.6 goals per game during that run.
In contrast, Willem II are rooted to the bottom of the table having won just twice in 16 league games so far this season – a run that includes nine defeats.
They have managed just six points at home in the whole campaign and they have lost all of their last five meetings with Ajax.
Anything other than an away win here would be a major upset.
Juventus to beat Atalanta @ 1/4
Juventus might have lost their 18-month unbeaten league record in November but they are still four points clear at the top of the Serie A table and have won their last four games in all competitions.
Inconsistent Atalanta won at AC Milan earlier in the season but they have lost their last three away games and look destined for a season of mid-table mediocrity, currently occupying tenth spot in the table, 17 points behind Juventus.
The visitors haven’t beaten Juve for ten matches, losing eight of those meetings, including the last four, so the Bianconeri should dispose of them on Sunday with the minimum of fuss.
Fiorentina to beat Siena @ 2/5
Staying in Serie A, and Fiorentina host Siena on Sunday defending a fantastic home record that has seen them remain unbeaten at the Stadio Artemio Franchi this season, dropping just four points by virtue of draws with Sampdoria and Juventus, and winning the other six.
They have scored at least two goals in every one of their last seven games, averaging just below three goals per game during that run.
Siena, on the other hand, have failed to score more than one goal in six of their last seven, so even if they double their average goals tally of late they will still struggle to score enough to beat the hosts.
On top of that, Siena have picked up just two points on their travels so far this season and haven’t beaten Fiorentina for more than four years.
Another home win looks inevitable.
AC Milan to beat Pescara @ 9/50
The third selection from Serie A this week is AC Milan. They have won their last four domestic matches and haven’t dropped a point in Serie A since November 17th – a run that includes a win over champions and league leaders Juventus.
On Sunday they face a Pescara side who shipped six goals at home to Juve just a month ago and who have lost five of their last six matches.
They currently sit third-bottom of the table but would fall to second-bottom if Siena hadn’t started the season with a six-point deduction.
And to compound their misery, they have conceded a total of nine goals in their only two previous top-flight meetings with Milan in the 1992-93 season, so history is firmly stacked against them.
AC should stroll this one.
Bordeaux to beat Nancy @ 13/10
Second-bottom Nancy have only won one game all campaign and that was on the first day of the season back in August.
Since then they have lost ten and drawn seven of their 17 matches and have only scored more than one goal on one solitary occasion in the league so far.
They have drawn their last five in a row, but on Sunday they face a Bordeaux side who should put them to the sword.
Francis Gillot’s side have won six of their last ten in all competitions, losing just one, and have lost just twice in nine away matches this term.
Their record on the road is even better when you consider that they have already beaten leaders Lyon and held PSG on their travels, so Nancy should cause them no concerns at all.
