They have failed to win any of four subsequent friendlies, with a 0-0 draw against Luxembourg completing a run of three straight stalemates before the loss to Croatia.
However, there were some encouraging signs in that latest setback, with Ismaila Sarr putting the Lions of Teranga ahead and Sadio Mane going close late on when hitting the post.
We think Senegal will be in good shape by the time they begin their Group H campaign against Poland on June 19, but such a short rest between warm-up matches is far from ideal here.
