Bolshunov is the alpha and omega of the discipline for two seasons

The bettors' big favourite, Alexander Bolshunov, starts the season with health problems. The best cross-country skier on the planet has undergone two operations on his jaw.

Bolshunov has won the last two Crystal Globes, and he will surely be aiming for a gold medal at the Olympics since he has only won 3 silver and one bronze medal to his credit to date. Gold at the Olympics is the only gong he is missing to complete his record. The Russian will be motivated to do well at the Olympic Games and will have prepared thoroughly for this new season.

A key event of the Winter Olympics will be the 4x10km men's relay with an exciting duel between Norway and Russia. Bet on the winner of the 2022 Olympic 4x10km H cross-country relay with bwin.

In the previous season, Bolshunov topped the rankings with more than double the runner-up's points by finishing first in the individual, skiathlon and line start rankings.

In the long distances, Bolshunov breaks down his opponents. Bet on the winner of the 2021/22 FIS World Cup now.

Klæbo is the master of the sprint

Johannes Høsflot Klæbo has almost always finished first in the sprint for several seasons. The 25-year-old Norwegian has an excellent record in cross-country skiing.

He won the World Cup two seasons in a row before the advent of Bolshunov. In the last two seasons, he finished second and third. He is consistent in his performances and is a favourite to win the crystal globe at the end of the season.

Recommended cross-country skiing bet

Like all outdoor mountain sports, weather conditions are an important factor. Before the competition starts, it is crucial to be sure of the wind and potential snowfall which can impact the athletes.

On the same site, there are between two and three races with one event per day. It is not uncommon to see the days of the races being very close together. For example, last season, there were 7 races on three sites in 9 days. For bettors who follow the events, we suggest taking a good look at the form of the participants since it is natural to bet on the skier in form.
