Basketball FIBA European Cup Bets

The European Basketball Cup is the second international competition organized by FIBA since 2015 and is a less prestigious tournament than the Champions League of basketball. It should not be confused with the men's Eurocup basketball which is managed like the EuroLeague by another company, the ECA. Make bets on the Euroleague of basketball —the international championship in Europe with the highest level.

Bet on basketball in Europe

The International Basketball Federation is an association of national organizations that govern international basketball competitions. It is divided into five zones, including the FIBA Europe part, which comprises 50 federations.

The NBA uses courts measuring 94 feet by 50 feet, or 4,700 square feet. European teams play on FIBA-regulated courts that are shorter and narrower — 28m (91.86 feet) by 15m (49.21 feet) or 4,520.43 square feet. The extra 180 square feet do make a significant difference.

Also, the playing time is only 4x10 minutes, and the three-point line is 6.75m. Make basketball bets on our online sports betting platform.

Bet on Eurocup Basketball

The European Basketball Cup games are played on Wednesdays at 5 pm. The tournament starts in September and ends in April of the following year.

After a few qualifying rounds, played in single matches, two group phases begin, which follow each other. For the first part, thirty-two teams are divided into eight groups of four with two-way matches. The first two teams from each group go through to the next phase and are split into four groups of four. The top two from each group then go through the quarter-finals, with the winners progressing to the semis.

The final phase is then played on a best-of-two basis. The points of both matches are added together. In the event of a tie, 5 minutes of overtime is played to determine a winner.

Recommended FIBA Eurocup Bets

There can be only one winner from the quarter and semi-finals, with the losers inevitably being eliminated. We recommend betting on the team that will qualify for the next round.

Bet on teams that have great quality players and who can manage to string together winning runs. Place your bets on the BBL Championship with bwin.
